My Prayer for 33
Dear Lord, make it the best year I ever had...
It’s my birthday, and my over-30 body doesn’t know how to sleep in, so yes, it’s like 7 am. I took a real solo trip to just be with myself. This year came with so many lessons…this year I really sat with my frustration a lot. I dropped my mask and was the most honest I probably have ever been in my life. Honest about my disdain for waiting, frustration, and yet was met with strength I didn’t know I had (thanks, God). So here’s my prayer for 33…
Dear Lord,
Thank you for continuing to meet me where I’m at, whether riding a high of successful occurrences or in the lows of my disappointments. You are such a good Father that you can take both and make them so beautiful… if you squint & turn your head 30 degrees.
Lord, thank you for another year! Another year to delight in you, another of expectancy…. Lord, I pray today that this year is the best year I ever had. I’m not asking for you to make my head spin because I’m desperate and tired, but because after so much change, mindset rewiring, and all the things that feel uncomfortable, it has to be a head spin moment ahead.
Thank you for the resources that you will continue to lay in my path; I pray I don’t miss it due to my own ego. Thank you for the more I’ll get to learn about how my brain works. I pray I no longer keep trying to push neurotypical expectations on myself but find freedom in what I know works for me.
Thankful in advance for the encounters of love that will fill my year. May the mindset that they won’t continue to happen be transformed to a mindset of abundance. Let all parts of my life see success so I can be reminded to not put limits on what you can do.
Thanks in advance for the lessons; they will continue to form me in your way. Even when I’d rather not, help me to see your perspective. Remind me that I’m your little pampered, bougie princess and not your no-limit soldier. (iykyk)
33 is here, so let’s do it!
In Jesus’ name, Amen!
